Tvheadend nightly builds for LE

  • +1

Running 1886 (Generic) on LE 9.2.3 (seems to) fixes a bug on my box.

    this one:

    Kodi crashes watching Sat-TV · Issue #17531 · xbmc/xbmc · GitHub

    1. does this build run on nightly too ?

    2. why is the internal Version (?) number of this 4.3-build lower than what I'm offered by the addon-updater ?

    4.3: 9.1.901.444

it leads to the situation that the box always wants to downgrade (?) 4.3 !

I guess I fetched the answer for question 1 looking into the headers of addon.xml's => "python version" : NO

  • Hi,

Thanks to you, I may have understood what caused me a lot of bugs these last few days: I had enabled autoupdate, so LibreElec was "upgrading" my TvHeadEnd 4.3 (9.1.901.444) to TvHeadEnd 4.2 (, causing the "too recent profile " crash.

Disabling the extension autoupdate seems to solve that.

The extension version number should indeed reflect the more recent TVH version.

  • nor on main "releases":

no TvH prevents me from testing.

a pointer to compile TvH myself ?

  • Hi,

I have been using a Wetek Play1 box for ages. Unfortunatly neither newer LE nor Tvheadend builds suport it anymore.

What is the recommended hardware replacement if I need two DVB-S2 input? I think about a setup with an RPi4 with two low cost Tevii S650 USB tuners. Are those tuners supported?

  • Hello CvH

Many thanks for you work and contribution to Tvh for LE.

I am running TVH (RPi2-service.tvheadend42-4.3-1886) as an addon with LE (LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-9.2.6) on an RPi2+, and use it with a DVBT2 dongle (Digital TV Tuner for Xbox).

I have faced some video-voice sync and stuttering problems while using HTSP client on a DVBT2 mux in my country (no problem when using http streaming with pass profile) and after some investigation. I suspect that these issues may be solved by applying commit Report AAC and AAC-LATM correctly. Always raw stream AAC audio as aud… · tvheadend/[email protected] · GitHub

I would appreciate if you can apply this change, build and add it to your builds for Tvh- LE9.2 (RPi2)

Thanks in advance for your contribution

  • I started using tvh build 1886 and so far it is working great so I want to thank you.

I'm currently using a HDHomerun dual and HDHomerun Prime on the TVH server. So it shows the local channels twice on the EPG screen. I notice under the Configuration/Channel/EPG, Map services, it has a merge same name. Is that to merge the same channel name so it only shows in the epg once rather than twice for both turners?

If so, does it work because when I try to merge the two same channels from the two different tuners it does not seem to do anything unless I'm setting it up incorrectly.

  • Is it just me or is other people getting constant video stalls no matter what tvheadend version they are using while using live tv?

I keep trying different versions but it always comes back. It seems like using libreelec 8.2 works the best for me but it still happens.

I'm using andriods as the htsp but it always gets the video stalled error message and then I have to push the stop button and then reselect the live tv channel to get it to start up again.

I'm trying coreelec as the htsp to see if it was just an andriod issue but I still gets the CVideoPlayerAudio::Process - stream stalled pts:4548.448 message. For andriod the message was similar but didn't have the pts:4548.448 from the htsp log.

I also was looking at the tvheadend log and didn't see any error message. I just noticed the bandwidth was 0 for the channel which froze.

Can this be a router issue?

I was contemplating whether to get a new router to see if it fixes the issue.

I'm currently using two hdhomerun tuners and tried disconnecting one tuner to see if using two simultaneously was causing the issue but the video stall still occurred no matter which tuner I was using.

Not sure what else to try.

If anybody has any suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.
