[8.90.6] LibreELEC 9.0 Alpha for S905/S912 devices

  • Maybe have a read below.

This was a fix for s905 chip boxes with oriental U-Boot Android Firmware.

It may explain your issue being what was previously occurring to other hardware.

Thanks, I think this is the problem.... I'm going to get a M-M USB cable and see if I can fix it.

Lots of people seem to have this issue from my google searches, most said they just live with it.

  • Very silent on this front...Any news?

Beelink MiniMXIII II 2GB, 32GB always running latest Libreelec from SD card. No issues so far(except for the ones already known or posted by me).

Mecool m8s Pro+ which with widevine level 1, Android runs a hacked version of android TV.

  • Apologies for not providing updates or support for the last couple of weeks, I have been pretty busy but there has been work going on behind scenes to get S905 supported officially within LE.

I will be providing an updated dev build later on today however I suspect it may break dvb support as I have reworked the source for the build from scratch and updated to the latest media_build so user feedback will be helpful. There is also an updated libamcodec and ofcourse Kodi will be refreshed to it's latest version and the latest patches from afl1 will also be included.

A couple of final last notes, there will be added support for users of the TX3 Mini with the LCD now functioning (I bought one in the black friday sales).

I also very generously received a Minix NEO U9-H from Minix so I will be extending builds there in the near future :)

Did you get the 1gb/8gb or 2gb/16gb ??

Interesting to see how the 1gb performs using Krypton and Leia.

  • afl1 make sure that you don't build media_build for default kernel or you have 2 times the same stuff (no idea if this might be intention with that hw)

  • Have you selected one of dvb addons (CrazyCat or Hauppauge)?

yes, i have the same tuner problem with play2. I have selected both, CracyCat and Hauppage, no success, no tuner :-(
With the last adamg-1.0.7.1 (S905.arm) i have had:

    wetekplay 110704 1 wetekdvb

    dvb_core 102633 2 wetekdvb,wetekplay

    Here my actual lsmod:

  • Sorry, I forgot add wetekdvb.service.

For test try to start it manually from ssh:

    modprobe wetekdvb

    systemctl restart service.tvheadend42.service

YES, it works like a charm. I have added in the autostart.sh and now it works. Thanks a lot for your good job :-)
