[8.2.2.3] LibreELEC 8.2 for S912

  • Ok will try.

On more question. With Win32DiskImager I write LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.2-8.2.2.3.img to flash drive.

I also have gxm_q200_2g.dtb - which I think is for my version of GT1.

In the video it says to rename gxm_q200_2g.dtb to dtb.img, but when I write the LibreElec img it creates dtb.img.

    Should I replace it?

  • When insert flash drive in to usb slot, power on from remote control and it boots to gt1 default firmware.

Try again - same result. Install from google play store "Reboot to LibreElec".

Startin boot from usb drive but got this error message

  • did you hold the reset button in, while plugging the power lead in?

  • From this

    • toothpick method: disconnect the power supply, insert card/drive, push reset button and connect the power while holding the button. Wait until LibreELEC logo appears and release the button.

  • if you don't see the Libreelec logo, just release the switch.

It probably means you have the wrong device tree, so download a different one, rename to dtb.img & try again, you don't need to create the image again.

I use rufus to create the image

you could try a different usb port or try a microsd

  • i just tried hard wiring my box into my router and it doesn't obtain and ip adress. i made sure under the libreELEC settings i had enable wired and disabled wireless. any ideas?

    Thanks

I had the same experience with U9 - turns out it cannot do both at the same time and WiFi is enabled by default. for me, I had to boot into Android, disable Wifi from system-settings and then it picked up the IP through wire.

  • Which one I have to choose ?

Looking device tree gxm_q200_2g.dtb or gxm_kvim2.dtb?

May be the problem is with usb ports... try to find card.

Well, I wouldn't think you use the kvim, as you have a beelink. It doesn't take long to try the device trees one at a time.

device tree is based on LAN & RAM size

  • I use reboot to LibreELEC app, then choose "reboot system now" cause I am afraid not to lose my GT1 software.

I try all version and no one loaded. The "boot" usb port is located at the back side of the device.

Some of versions stuck on LibreELEC logo and on top left screen there is:

    LibreELEC community 8.2.2.3

In USB folder I see "s905_autoscript" file, shouldn't be S912?

I write the image with rufus, not w32img, copy gxm_q200_2g.dtb and starts LibreElec successful.

  • Thanks. I also install subs service, that I ask for.

Sorry, one more question. I think that kodi subtitle font was... more pretty than libreelec stock arial.

How can I move it little up, bellow video, but not at the end of screen ?
