[8.2.2.3] LibreELEC 8.2 for S912

  • Dear kszaq, thank you very much! Downloading 8.1.7 right now. Screan tearing was the worst thing in older builds and now it's gone!

If whenever sleep mode will work, it wiil be wonderful)

  • In 8.1.7 you can enable suspend/sleep mode manually:

    1. Go to \\Configfiles\sleep.conf.d (in Windows) or /storage/.config/sleep.conf.d (over SSH).
    2. Rename sleep.conf.sample to sleep.conf
    3. Open sleep.conf and remove this line: SuspendMode=false
    4. Reboot, enjoy.
  • Hello,

I have weird reaction with release 8.1.7 with resolution 4k, I know it is not supported officialy. But, when I set my screen resolution to 3840x2160 my screen is split in two. And if I set my screen resolution to 1080p and I play 4k content and I press my OK button I am unable to see the Kodi menu (with button pause, stop, skip back, etc..)

With version 8.1.6 everything work correctly.

  • After a few nights of pulling my haіr out (fortunately I have some of it left) I can now confirm that vsync is going to work in a next build. 8)

Great news and many thanks! How did you manage this?!

Pretty easy fix when you know what to do:

    • add sync fence support to framebuffer window in libhybris
    • cap minimal CPU frequency at 1GHz and switch GPU to "turbo" mode

    I'll upload the source soon.

  • Not seeing the download for 8.1.7 in the list on page 1. Is there a different link somewhere someone could share?

    MXIII-G, M8 and Beeklink MXIII Plus LE 8.2.2 - Demetris, Mecool M8S Pro+/Abox A1, Abox A1 Max Coreelec 9.0.2. Thanks to all.

Yes I can confirm that horizontal split screen bug as well.

kszaq - can you add this Xiaomi Mi Box BT remote mapping to your LE 8.1.7 release please ?

    0001-eventlircd-evmap-add-custom-Xiaomi-Mi-Box-BT-remote.patch

It is used in conjunction with:

    this Bluetooth remote Mod

makes for a very snappy LibreELEC box !

Hats off for your efforts, man! Currently using skin Aeon MQ5 Krypton mod and i can see a really smooth transition between screens. A small donation on its way... The Chinese sellers should be paying you monthly for fixing their crappy platforms performance.

    Thanks again!

    Hi vertycall

I'm using aeon mq 7 skin but find scrolling through library very juddery and not smooth.

This seems to be because the fps is very low between 15-25 fps.

What fps are you getting using the mq5 skin. Press (ctrl + shift + D) while in movie library this will bring up the debug screen check the fps while browsing the library.

I believe this is a kodi issue as have same fps with esturary skin.

    Thanks for any info

  • 8.1.7 rebuilt and uploaded with (hopefully) a fix for "split screen" issue from the first build and Xiaomi remote patch from wrxtasy.

    Edit: Changelog now in OP.
