Uses very very little power I just leave my boxes on.
DO you have a PVR and switch that off?
I leave my PVR on as well
Q: I cannot turn on my box by remote control.
A: This is a bootloader issue that needs to be fixed by box manufacturer.

No, it's not. Your box is not really turning off.
Why would you want to switch it off?
Some of the S912 (if not all?) boxes can get quite hot. I feel much more comfortable turning mine off when I don't use it since it stays at a constant 78°C when not using it.

Ahh, I don't have a 912 box, so I guess it's a question of pulling out the power cable and putting it back in.
I wonder if you had a remote powered plug if that would work?

Definitely not all, because mine stays at fifty something in iddle and sixty something when playing a movie.
And this is the CPU temperature, the plastic box stays below hand warm.

My idling S905X temperature is 71
I measure it in Celsius.
My S905X runs without turning it off and right now it's 54 C.

I should have stated it, my cheap as chips box temp is in degrees C, just checked again and at idle mine is now 75 degrees C,
Maybe your box has a better heat sink/cooler processor.
SoC temperature also depends on ambient temperature: for example my box idles at 50°C in one room or at over 60°C when ambient temperature is only 2°C higher.
How is everyone checking the temperature on their boxes??/

i just use kszaqs build with temp sensor enabled.
Mine is less hot than all temps measured here, though. Its a s905 not a 912 and it stays below 50 even if active. 40-something when idle.
I use three external cooler fan 12v on my KIII and my temp stays between 40c and 50c. Hey guys, do you have some news about libreelec 8.1.7 or 9.0?
Someone have try LE 9.0 on S912? How it is? More stable than 8.2?
8.1.7 will be uploaded in a few minutes (with vsync working), changelog coming today evening.
Edit: 8.1.7 now available to download.
Thank you KSZAQ very much for continued efforts... Downloading 8.1.7...
Btw, do I have to place dtb.img file in Update folder every time I update LE?

Yes if upgrading from 8.0.x to 8.1.x.
Not needed if upgrading from 8.1.x to 8.1.x.
