The Play 2 will support both 8bit and 10bit HEVC. You might be thinking of the WeTek Core, which is only able to support HEVC in 8bit.

Great news! Two things I noticed when building from Github:
- CEC is not enabled in config
- Hyperion needs a patch to work with kernel 3.14: Aarch64 compile error · Issue #550 · hyperion-project/hyperion · GitHub

hi guys, ive got a WETEK PLAY 2 and luv the brand and device, and was directed here by wetek support to grab a native linux KODI installation.
ive got the latest, alpha v8 of the firmware and having lots of issues.
it seems after about 7 or 8 minutes into almost all videos, the device freezes and requires a reset. as such, thing is not working.
ill continue to try troubleshooting myself at home, but wanted to know if anyone has seen this before?
i assume there is no earlier KODI v16 stable release i can try, and i can only go with the alpha code thus far for this box? (i can live w/o latest features, as long as its stable).

You mean it completely freezes and doesn't react on any of your actions from IR remote?
