[8.90.6] LibreELEC 9.0 Alpha for S905/S912 devices

  • I don't have a Netflix account so I'm unable to debug that issue unless someone wishes to share their account with me to debug the problem.

Netflix offers one month free subscription, you can use it for debugging :)

    Running kszaq's LibreELEC 8.2.2.3 and adamg's LibreELEC 9.x 1.0.6 on Cooleme MB1 (S905X - 2GB/8GB)

Its okay, a friend offered theirs up and I noticed the problem immediately, I'm just doing some final testing before pushing a new build out.

  • This is great.

Would anyone be so kind to share inputstream and Kodi settings, with which 1080p streaming works without any stuttering?

  • As far as I know, you won't be able to play a 1080p stream via Netflix.

The S905 and S905X processors are just to weak to decode the stream.

The decoding can just be done by a single core and these are to weak to decode 1080p.

    720p should work fine.

    100% correct.

It's a a bit confusing how on the same box Netflix on android manages to play 1080p effortlessly. (I own a Mecool m8s Pro+ which has widevine level 1)

Beelink MiniMXIII II 2GB, 32GB always running latest Libreelec from SD card. No issues so far(except for the ones already known or posted by me).

Mecool m8s Pro+ which with widevine level 1, Android runs a hacked version of android TV.

  • GDPR-2 Will you add bluetooth?

  • New builds are up, just reboot your device to force an update check and then reboot again once it has finished downloading for it to be applied.

    Changes:
Fixed wifi for users with qca9377 chipset
    Fixed netflix addon
Added kodinerds repo (contains netflix repo)
Made addons folder browseable over the network

  • It should already be there

Bluetooth wasn't in any of Gendo's builds that's why I ask.

  • Unfortunately, Netflix still causes a restart with LE ver. 1.0.1

  • Sad, but true.

For me - the lastest working build remains to be LibreELEC-S905.arm-9.0-devel-20171020154750-r27181-g427aded12.tar still...

  • It would help if you had provided a copy of your kodi log

Nevertheless I have discovered the problem with the Netflix addon, it will be fixed in the next build.

sorry, i meant to do it today as i put my regular libreelec back on so my housemates can use it, great to hear you fixed it, looking forward to testing it, thanks for all the hard work

Since you disabled sending you private messages... Where to get S905 devel build?
