I have a GT520 Nvidia machine, but I hadn't tested suspend yet (*cough*).
Okay, driver 340.102 is active and suspend works for me in LE 8.0.2.
is driver 340.102 included now?

Correct.
Correct.

Log file, please. We need full hardware details.
"Not work for me" is not enough for us to work with.
i am already back to 7.0.3 , because the same problem starting 8 beta and all other versions...... i think its the same nvidia problem.
amazon prime also not working.... i am thinking now why should i change to version 8 when not all is working now.
And forcing the legacy driver also didn't work?
That tends to help.
Is this solved?
Is this solved?
It would require someone testing with affected hardware and the latest 384.59 driver (which you can find in these LE9/Kodi 18 test builds) to know for sure.
There is one mention of a suspend bug fix in 384.59 but it only applies to SLI so is unlikely to be responsible for the issues reported in this thread, but you never know what else might have been fixed...
384.59 will be in the next LibreELEC 8 official release (once Kodi 17.4 is released).
Has anyone with the "underscore after wake freeze" tested the new LE 8.1 Beta which has the 384.59 drivers?
Just tested suspend mode on a box with a GT1030, and although going into suspend and coming out of it takes a (relative) long time, 15-20 seconds each, suspend is working. The delay in waking up *may* be network-related on my setup, but I'm only guessing at this time.
Sounds good! Way to go

By the way, I am about to make a fresh install of libreelec on an external SSD plugged in via USB3, i read in the Wiki that for intel builds the suspend doesnt work if installed on externals. Will this happened to me? And why doesnt it work? It isnt listed in the wiki and Ive tried searching to no avail...
One of the OE contributors had a religious thing about suspend not working on USB sticks so OE wiki entries say this is bad (sky will fall on your head etc.) but ISTR we removed the "big fat warning!!!" texts as for most (not all, but most) users it works okay. That said. I always preach that any installation on USB or SD media is temporary as it will be more prone to wear related media dying issues, so it's the users responsibility to create appropriate periodic backups to guard against data loss.

I'm on the latest LE9 test build with an ASUS GTX750TI.
With LE8 I recognized a suspend issue for the first time and I was able to work around by forcing the legacy driver. The issue is that if I enter suspend, the machine doesn't go sleep entirely - it hang up in an somehow undefined state with black screen and therefor afterwards no chance to wake it up again. Maybe that's not the exact same behavior but at least it sounds like the same family of issues.
By the latest LE9 build it is still not solved - I think the mentioned 384.59 Nvidia drivers are active by default and I do not need to activate them somehow first?!
The issue is gone again after I force the legacy driver.

I can confirm this is still a thing AKA suspend does not work, 8.1.1 version
and with the neweset legacy driver Update nvidia-legacy driver to 340.104?
Has anyone tested the newest libreelec to see if this problem is still a thing in 8.2.0 ? Im afraid I will test it myself anyway and report back.
The last 10+ releases of nvidia driver have noted some kind of "suspend fix" in documentation but it's never been the one that people have reported here so I wouldn't get hopes up.
