Will try on one of my Pi 5 tomorrow.
Nice dangerouslaser, will be trying as well. Does this retain @popcornmix's awesome 3D work?
great work dangerouslaser - please pull in popcornmix amazing 3D efforts. If the Pi can get on par with all the amazing DV work that has been happening in NUC/mini pc world, that would be incredible.
Btw, does this work on a Pi4 too or does it require a Pi5?
The RPi4 has Vulkan support on the GPU, so just give it a shot. Older RPi versions will not work. There is a project for Vulkan emulation on RPi3 and lower:
ATM it's incomplete. Maybe it's worth using AI to complete the project, but the hardware might still be too weak.

It's untested but IMHO unlikely to work on RPi4 as its GPU has about 50% the grunt of an RPi5 which is already on the marginal end of support, and DV depends on GPU performance.
It runs pretty good on my Pi 5/4GB, .srt gets purple though, minor problem.

Installed on a Samsung 850 evo ssd, with a small silent fan the Pi sits at 35C when idle and playing 4k FEL7 it stays below 45C.
chewitt Is this portable to RK3288?
dangerouslaser, I can test 3D and share logs with any test builds.
chewitt Is this portable to RK3288?
No hope whatsoever. RK3288 is about a decade too old in terms of CPU/GPU performance.
