Finally got my RPi5 and will test shortly. Initially, wouldn't boot and gave me an error, was baffled, then realized I downloaded the Pi4 image. popcornmix, your links are reversed. The Pi4 build link takes you to the Pi5 image download.

Is the plan to fold 3D MVC/FSBS support into mainline LE for RPi, or keep it as a fork (which I'm assuming this is for now)?

Hey popcornmix , think I'll give this a try and help how I can, namely w/testing. Need to order a RPi5 first ... some questions before I do (as I haven't used a Pi since Pi3 B+):

• Supports HD/object based audio? Quick AI query says yes; is it?
• Supports 4K HEVC and HDR10, but not HDR10+ and DV? AI says correct; true?

Is the 4GB RAM Pi5 board good enough, or is 8GB necessary?

Thanks... hoping remaining technical barriers continue "being chipped-away at", where legal is at least in the gray :).

There's some discussion in Kodi forum about DV possibility on PC. Think many would prefer PC over Android boxes. Just curious what devs, experts here think?

Haven't used LE since the RPi3 days, but was curious to on a cheap GMKtec Intel N150, and did this YouTube review. It's a great performer if one doesn't need DV or HDR10+, or 3D MVC...

You need the right .dtb file (device tree image) as explained in post #1.

Tanix TX92 has gigabit LAN as well; costs about $60USD.

wrxtasy, tested this new 'test' version and I get no audio w/PCM 2.0/5.1/7.1 and AAC. With your last one, there is audio, but it sounds off... like background/surround only coming through w/o the fronts/dialogue.

Update: Getting no audio at all, and passthru options in settings are gone.

- there may be some Audio issues with this release after using audio passthrough. Straight 2.0 PCM audio is fine.

wrxtasy, thank much for this terrific build, which makes it super easy for enabling 10/12-bit and keeping it that way through reboots/power on/off's. I'm not having any HD audio, including ATMOS/X, content, but have only tried a couple of test clips & movies so far.

Asking experts here for help on moving LE to NAND, which isn't working for me. I asked in Kodi forum (please see here), but what I've tried so far isn't doing it. Appreciate any guidance, thanks!

Looks like MVC support is close; see here. But, appears to half-rez output (even though full decode happens).

Curious what benefit(s) enabling libwidevine provides with LE?
