LibreELEC (Matrix) 10.0.4

  • I have tried the most recent version (LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-11.0-nightly-20230121-f3ef152.img.gz) but HDR does not work and I also get glitches in the picture.

Thanks for testing! If you want to help to fix this, write a bug report here (read the How-To on top first).

  • I have 10.0.2 running great on pi4 architecture RPI4.arm

I have auto update turned on but I am not getting any prompts to update to 10.0.4

Anything I am missing in the settings?

    I had the same issue.

    1. Switch to manual update on LE settings.
    2. Switch to an older update channel, like LE 9.
    3. Switch back to update channel LE 10, and LE 10.0.4 should become visible.

Thank you so much…it worked. For future updates should I just leave it on Manual then and ignore the Auto option?

Why is Kodi is compiled for 32-bit ARM in RPi4 build? It might have been the case before in earlier releases but it's the first time I noticed this.

Widevine is only 32bit on arm. If you search for recent articles with widevine - further background.

  • What's with the download mirrors for the in OS download?

I am lucky to see ~250KB/s often falling into single digit ~5KB/s. I am on a 1Gb Symmetrical Fiber connection.

The update times out before it completes.

I agree! I'm on a 1 Gb fiber connection (Verizon), and it took close to an hour to download.

  • I guess it is very mirror dependent, maybe a mirror has currently some bandwidth problems for some reason.

The direct download from the website of the img.gz was plenty fast.

Trying to use the native updater on device of the "LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-10.0.4.tar" is slow as can be.

  • It's impossible to comment upon or investigate mirror/download issues without knowing which mirror is being used. This should be visible in kodi.log if you look. Otherwise there are 20+ mirrors and /shrug
