ApexDE You can test the updated settings addon from Testing LibreELEC-settings addon · Issue #4547 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub.
But IMO there will be no improvement until the OOM issue of the RPI4 kernel is fixed.

I had no OOM problems with LibreElec 9.2 so i am willing to try out. But i have the libreelec .settings plugin in
/usr/share/kodi/addons/
If i install it in /storage/.kodi/addons/ like you described on github, will the newer one be used instead of the one already in

Yes. You can see it in Kodi (debug) Log.
Success. The crash on performing a backup through the LE Settings Addon is fixed with that test version
Fine. Remember to remove the test addon when updating the system.
OK, thanks for the heads-up!
So, in B4 this bug will be fixed ?
I cant wait to try !
But, I wont migrate my main system since the Network stability was not met yet.
A crash in backup is fixed, the initial OOM Kodi restart of this thread not.
i discovered that LE 10b4 is in the update channel
is the updated LE settings included?
ApexDE The version of 2021-05-19 you may still using is included. An improved fix was added after b4 release.
Great! Which further improvements to the fix were added after the settings addon which is within 10b4?
ApexDE Please see: Commits · LibreELEC/service.libreelec.settings · GitHub. B4 is including bfec474c.
Ah, OK. Thank you.
I tested it on the new BETA 4 (9.95.5)
But it still can't complete the backup, the system reboots at 30 % more or less ☹️
Is it just me?
The OOM issue still does exist. Ceck with dmesg/journalctl.
9.97.1 showed up on the LibreElec betachannel. I was expecting beta6 coming, is it released by mistake or are the OOM fixes included and because of that starting over again at beta1?
Alphas, Betas, Release Candidates... What's in a name.
