Kszaq, hi.
Can you help me with copying the dtb file to my installed to the internal storage system, please? 8.0.2b.

If your question is about Khadas VIM, I first need to get familiar with their boot process.

the overall performance in 7.0.312k seems to me better than the 8.02b .
In this old build i dont get dropped and skipped frames. 100% good playback.
Can you confirm the same daz?
I've said many times that you cannot compare Krypton to Jarvis... no matter what kernel playback on Jarvis will be smoother in most cases.
Hi Kszaq: i am not able to install(download) usb media backup addon in your latest build. is it just me or anyone else having problem doing so ?
Any help ?
Please post a log.

That's a fact but the marshmallow kernel is pure crap for the S905X soc.
Did that help, kszaq ?
I haven't had an opportunity to look at it yet.

It's fine on my 1080p for normal media. Don't worry, I will make sure the awesome work from johngalt is merged sooner or later to my builds.
I want to thank the both of you for your amazing work that I am truely appreciative for

Yes, it is about Khadas VIM.
Hi,
I have a mini m8s Box (S905) with Libreelec 7. I installed v8 but it has a strange "bug". When the libre box is running and I switch to a TV channel, then after ~3 minutes it automatically switches back to libreelec. This happens only with v8. The TV is a LG from 2012 (32LM660S)
Is there a new setting in v8 that I missed?
p.s. I tried an upgrade und clean install.
Yes, it is about Khadas VIM.
You will need to supply your own DTB file from the Android OS from what I understand. It can easily be obtained. I would install Android to the internal flash (emmc). Make sure Android is rooted, and install a "terminal emulator" app, and issue the following two commands inside terminal emulator, WITHOUT the 'quotes':
' su '
(you will most likely have a popup asking for permission - allow it)
' dd if=/dev/dtb > /storage/downloads/dtb.img '
That will put your DTB file into your "Downloads" folder. Now plug in a USB stick/memory stick and copy the 'dtb.img' file to your PC and back it up. This is the file you will use for the DTB. At this point, setup should be identical to every other s905(x) box!
I don't have my Khadas yet, but other users did say that these builds should work perfectly fine with the appropriate DTB file.
Hope that helps!
7.0 builds are better than 8.0 builds. With the 7.0 builds, my beamer automatically switches the image for 3D movies into the 3D mode. This does not work with the 8.0 builds unfortunately.
Can you implement this function in the 8.0 builds?
Thank you for your work

Can you install "ODroid C2 - 3D Autoswitch" addon from LibreELEC repository (it's in Services)?
First of all, thanks kszaq for your hard work. Your builds make these devices so much more usable. With all of the 8.0 builds, as far as I can remember, I've been having a problem with music playback from a NAS.
It'll play two or three songs fine, then a split second into playing the fourth or fifth song, Kodi will just up and crash. Any ideas? Here's a log.

Great firmware. Thank you very much kszaq.
Do you guys know where can I find the source code to "installtointernal" script?
I would like to wipe / format all internal partitions except for recovery.
Thanks for the info.

I thought doing another installtointernal will overwrite the internal NAND.
I thought doing another installtointernal will overwrite the internal NAND.
I am sure that it would do just that, but it is not what I need.
I am looking for a hint on how to format / wipe the partitions....
