[How to] Install Transmission

1) Install Thoradia repository from thoradia/service.thoradia.zip at master · thoradia/thoradia · GitHub

2) Install add-on from repository (LE will now show the Thoradia repository in the list) select Thoradia > Services > service.transmission

3) Once Transmission installed on LE, go to My Add-ons > click on Transmission tile, go to Settings and update the IP of your local network ending with x.* Leave all other defaults as is

4) Open from browser the LE's ip address - 192.168.***.***:9091/transmission/web/

5) Edit settings

Hello, I'm getting:

"could not connect to repository"

On a fresh install of LibreElec on a raspberry pi4.

Any Ideas?

Can you try again: If still an issue:

Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
2. Restart Kodi
3. Replicate the problem
4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

ops, crippled file download: now it installed successfully - but "can't connect to repository" on trying to use it...

I can install the repository, but then can't connect to it.

Is there any solution ?

How can I install transmission server in another way ?

For me they work good! But I just install it, I don't change any ip address. I access it by libreelecIP:9091/transmission/web/

All good with installation on libreelec Raspberry Pi 2, but error404 to reach trasmission by webpage. Same error also with elementum...where Is the problem? Thanks for your help!

I am getting "Could not connect to repository" on LibreELEC 9.2.8.7. How have you solved this?

Edit: Ok, I got it by using https://github.com/thoradia/thora…ia.9.2.0.23.zip as the repository.

I installed Transmission, but it is not showing in the Add-ons tab. If I navigate to it through My add-ons, the icon is a radioactive sign: ☢, and not the usual Transmission logo.

If you are installing onto the LE10 Amlogic image that we've been chatting about in #IRC .. it will not work because the add-on repo is for LE 9.2 installations (Python2) not LE10 installations (Python3). You might want to look at Docker solutions.

Ok, despite the icon, I could configure the Transmission daemon. I then installed Transmission Control Panel, and can now administrate torrents on the box.

Edit: I was installing onto 9.2.8.7.

I tried to install it on LE 9.2 and cannot connect to thoradia repository. So i cannot install transmission.

Do you have the Docker add-on available on your version of LibreELEC? If so, you could use https://github.com/danfercf1/transmission-libreelec
