Test LibreELEC images with KODI-18 for S9xxx

  • Thanks,

Also tried with another S905x - Sunvell T95m - 2G/8G that also works with older LE. Same behaviour on that box - infinite boot loop.

NOTE:Very first time booting after the install, there is text down left hand side of screen and the final message is "Reached target Kodi Media Center" or something similar (can't recall exact wording). It suggests that everything is good to go, but we just get boot loops.

Maybe the dtb is the cause??

  • X96 max 2G/16G 100Mb/s NIC

Tested 20190712 AMLG12.arm but no connection through the NIC.

20190611 AMLG12.aarch64 image is still the only one that gave me a NIC connection to LAN/internet.

This is the info from that working image

  • Same results apply to yesterday's s905x2 build with the rmii dtb that is now reincluded. Is the remote problem difficult to fix? Perhaps an easier wake-on-LAN function exists that could be implemented?

    Thx!

  • Should you not be using a different .dtb? ...... the -rmii.dtb is supposed to be for X96 max 2G/16G devices with 100Mb/s ethernet as I understand it.

Yes you are right. I replaced the dtb with the correct one. Nothing changed.
