X96 Max test with new g12 build.

- Vontar X96 Max

- S905X2/u211 SOC

- G12A chipset

- 10/100mbit NIC

- No bluetooth module

- 2gb/16gb version

- 2,4ghz wifi b/g/n

DTB: meson-g12a-x96-max-rmii.dtb (the one from the July 1st build as later ones don't seem to hold the rmii one)

Results:

- Boots

- Ethernet working, gets IP through DHCP

- Stock remote works if already on

- HDMI audio output present / 5.1 possible through spdif passthrough over stereo

- No mutichannel PCM (always outputs stereo if passthrough disabled)

- HEVC crahes (known issue)

- No WiFi

- Doesn't wake from power off or suspended mode from remote press

Fixed update script.

Added scripts for creating and restoring a full backup of the entire eMMC on external media.

Added LE installation script to eMMC.

P.D: The tests are done with the build LibreELEC-AMLG12.arm-9.80-devel-20190709172241-893dd58-s905x2.img.gz with the different dtb in the device_tree directory(both g12a * and g12b *), modifying the unev.ini file. . What more data can you use to facilitate the work?

Edit: I upload the dtb of android stock, taken out by amlogic tools.

Edit: Can it be by the ethernet modulator?Its modulator is an SG24002G

Edit2: insert the photo of the ethernet chip (realtek rRTL8211F) and its modulator (SG24002)

All dtb, they give me the same result, they do not get ip. Less "meson-g12a-u200.dtb" that does not give an image and I can not verify it.

There is a reference to RTL8211F in one patch but I don't know if apply to mega-samu device.

A question, balbes150 Would it be possible to activate the RTW88 driver to test it on my tanix (does it have the RTL8822)? Since I have seen that you have it disabled in the compilation, in this file:

linux.aarch64.conf#l1943

Edit: Leave it, it is not yet implementing the SDIO support in the driver RTW88 of kernel 5.2.

What .dtb is to be used for X96 100Mb/s NIC devices?

I do not see a .dtb with -rmii in its name in any of the more recent images.

Tried new install of 20190712 AMLGX build for S905x - MXQ PRO+ 2G/16G. This box works fine using 3.14 kernel version of LibreELEC from SD card. Box runs nougat android.

I am using "meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb". I modified "UEnv.ini" and "extlinux.conf" on SD card to match this dtb and the install proceeded as normal.

However, the box goes into endless boot loop at startup - LE splash, Box logo, LE splash, Box logo etc. Tried pulling plug and rebooting but same results.

One issue with wired network and DTB can be the link up irq vs polling

Not all the boards have irq line connected, it makes most sense to go for polling, since there is no real need to have an irq on it

Tried all the dtbs and it's either the same results (boot loop) or the box does not respond at all (no boot logos etc).
