Nekromantik be careful as that one might not have support yet where as you can find Gemini Lake NUC's for less as they are older and they work.

I didn't realize I could get an intel NUC with Gemini Lake still so I "built" one using the ODROID H2+ board which now I regret as you can just go with an intel one that looks nicer ... but alas it is what it is and it works. Testing out your latest build smp and figuring which limited addons are updated and which ones aren't yet.

EDIT: I compared video quality of this build compared to my Vero 4k+ and its not even close, the Vero 4k+ is superior. Its as if I'm watching the movie in a smokey room. A white haze, colors are not as bright and "popping". Its triggering HDR on my tv but is it really using the metadata ? Tomorrow I'll install winblows on the box and test out that build of v19.

Bean Canyon "8th gen" labeled NUC's that have i3/i5/i7 are Gen 9 and currently don't work but per what chewitt said above might in time? (even though Gemini are labeled 7th gen NUC) .. SO CONFUSING

Downloading now. Thx bud. My dad just got a new TV that has his NUC hooked up to it but I won't be there to help him with the software for at least a few weeks. When he told me he bought it a was gonna convert his box to windows but MAYBE we can go with this.

It should still work on the gemini lake too though .. right ?

I got rid of my NUC8i3 and now rocking a gemini lake ODROID so can't test the LSPCON patches for you. My dad has the NUC8i3 at his place but I can't easily access it till i'm over there.

Looks like we are in Kodi 19 alpha land now instead of just nightlies .. woohoo

Finally got my Odroid H2+ up and running today (first attempt didn't work because of a non compatible NVMe) using most recently posted build.

4K HDR10 triggered on the TV. Have video going also. HD audio (Dolby ATMOS in this test) is also properly bitstreaming.

I wish I could use v19 as primary but unfortunately I rely on Artwork Beef for my extended artwork needs and currently it doesn't work d/t the python changes

Will continue to use Vero 4k+ for now on my UHD tv and my NUC w/ LE on my non-UHD tv.

Kodi Matrix 19.0 HDR Edition

Looks like Windows v19 nightlies now include patches to make it work without having to use external players. Still would prefer to have a *nix based solution.

I wasn't aware that this was limited to 8bit. Is Gemini lake also 8bit or is that 10bit?

From what I read on windows side, if you got it working via external player it was 10bit or am I wrong?

I just love the performance of my NUC outside of the playback over my Vero 4K+ that I just want to switch so badly.

smp & noggin love your conversations even if it goes over my head. Just wanted to ask a quick question, so as it stands right now even IF my tv flips to HDR mode with intel hardware i'm not really getting "proper" HDR? Sorry but i'm not fully versed with all the 4:2:2 & 4:2:0 and such. I do remember reading somewhere that at minimum 10bit is what I'm suppose to expect for real HDR.
