Not the most earth shattering feature request but would it be possible to have a custom boot screen.
It could it live in the same folder as the Kodi boot logo.
At the moment mine has the following logos at boot... Acer Revo, LibreElec, Kodi

This is what I use at the moment for the Kodi logo. I would like to make this the LibreElec logo and the Kodi logo.
It's not a problem if not... you guys are doing an amazing job and here I am nitpicking over an image that appears for a few seconds!

You can add a custom boot splash in /flash/oemsplash.png. There's also the option of disabling the Kodi splash in advancedsettings.xml.

How much more user friendly can it get? Even if there was an option in LE settings, you'd still need to copy it over. If mounting /flash RW and copying the splash over is tedious, you can always script it. You could even create your own samba share with a preexec script, so that when you copy over a splash to the share, it'll automatically change.

I doubt there are more than 50 people who modify their splash. It's a niche capability. We have no plans to support niche things in LE settings.

You can install your own Kodi splash by copying a png file into /storage/.kodi/media/Splash.png. This would allow you to use the same artwork for both LE and Kodi splash files.
However with an upcoming change (kodi: database migration splash text by MilhouseVH · Pull Request #537 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub) your current custom splash may not be ideal, as the space below the central logo would be best kept clear (you have the LE logo). You'll only have an issue during a database migration, which will be a one-time issue (per major release), and may be something you can easily live with.
