Is there any hope of getting 3d to work? Seems its about the only thing missing - unless it works on Jarvis?

Downloads: http://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/8.0.0c
Use device trees from 7.0.3.012 builds: http://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905/7.0.3.012/device_trees/
Source code: https://github.com/kszaq/LibreELEC.tv/tree/8.0.0c

Changelog:

• Kodi updated to 82eaae9
• fixed reading ethernet MAC address from eFuse and added reading from nand_env
• minor improvement in copying user data in installtointernal script

• Built-in DVB tuners are not supported.
• Video playback:

• Jerky playback of some 29.97fps videos and some Live TV channels (Amlogic HW decoder bug)
• 4K support is experimental.
• 3D and HDR are not supported!
• If you use S905X device the screen will be darker than normal on boot. It goes back to normal after you start/stop a video.
• Suspend does not work on most devices. Use power off. Power off is a default action of IR remote power button.
• CEC might not work when your box has incompatible u-boot or your TV is not that well supported by Amlogic low-level CEC driver.
• DVB support is experimental vie media_build drivers from CrazyCat69 but some USB DVB tuners don't work at all

3D itself is dying flame. More and more TV manufacturers are not putting 3D functionality into new TVs anymore.

I know - but I quite like it and there are a lot of 3d films available that play fine on my Plasma

Have you tried manually selecting 3D mode from the video menu?
It hardly ever switches automatically for me, even when it shows as 3D, but when I switch 3D mode off and on again from the video menu, it causes the screen to switch to the correct mode.

Late response from but does Kodi show your movie as 3D in the library? I've had some issues with files not named correctly and as a result Kodi did not play it as 3D correctly.
This page on the kodi wiki helped me a lot: 3D - Official Kodi Wiki It seemed that adding HSBS, HOU or HTAB in addition to the 3D in the filename did the trick for me.
