VPN Manager for OpenVPN

    Although zomboided commented in thread end of Jan 2024 that he is not planning on maintaining/updating addon any further. He also stated that addon should continue to work with UserDefined import of an individuals lastest VPN provided *.ovpn files etc.

    I confirm that addon version 7.0.3 can be installed on a fresh install of latest LibreELEC Omega release (beta 2) and the addon operates fine with my chosen VPN Provider and most up-to-date *.ovpn files. (Rpi4)

    The addon works OK with PureVPN as user defined, but When I try to watch ITVX I get a geoblock error. Speedtest says I am in London and no problem watching ITVX on my PC with PureVPN Windows app.

    Most streaming service "geo" blocking also includes the ASN ranges of known hosting providers, so if some VPN provider operates their London infrastructure from well known London hosting centres (or simply their ASN's are known) then their IP ranges will be blocked.

    I’ve seen a few discussions about VPN Manager for OpenVPN, and it really depends on how well the client handles configuration profiles.
