I've just upgraded my htpc using an Asrock j4205 and wondered which build I should use with it
I'm using basically the same itx board in one of my htpc systems (J3455-ITX) and the generic build works quite fine. So stick to:
LibreELEC-Generic.x86_64-8.2-devel-20171218.img.gz
-
Thank you I’ll give it a try
-
updated and everything seems o be working fine apart from when i switch to the 4k resolution theres no 60hz refresh rate is this normal
-
Intel NUC, kodi on 4K is limited to 30FPS
I can update to 1.0.1 but 1.0.2 requires updating the nevcairel patch.
I have not had the time to do a test, will do so later on. Perhaps time to update the Dolphin version, haven't done so in a while and their git is moving very fast.
-
escalade tHe j4205 motherboard is meant to be able to do the 60hz refresh rate or is it SoftWare dependant or something
-
I posted the link to a thread with the fix, maybe you should read that.
-
, is there any reason that I only see wired connection and do not get the option for wireless connections?
hey mate,
i'm running into this problem too. generic x64 i3 htpc

Hi escalade
Is there logs somewhere for google chrome that I can check?
I updated it and now it is crashing 5 seconds after running
-
Yes, it's in /tmp/chrome.log. You could also run it manually like this:
/opt/google/chrome/chrome --user-data-dir=/storage/.config/google-chrome --no-sandbox --test-type
Latest version runs fine here.

escalade I can't find any chrome.log, but after erasing configuration in .config chrome works again
but if I login my google account it stop working, so there something strange in my profile (but no issue in ubuntu)
bigboo take a look at nfsmount.conf in config folder to mount your NFS folder
or worse method add your command line to autostart.sh (create it)

Mounting network shares - OpenELEC
My config looks like this, a file called "storage-roms-wii.mount" creates a dir in /storage/roms/wii
/storage/.config/system.d/storage-roms-wii.mount
Code
Display More[Unit] Description=wii_roms@nas Requires=network-online.service After=network-online.service Before=kodi.service [Mount] What=192.168.1.3:/i-data/22a34493/roms/nintendo/wii/roms Where=/storage/roms/wii Options= Type=nfs [Install] WantedBy=multi-user.target
yours should look like this
/storage/.config/system.d/storage-roms.mount
"storage-roms.mount"

Indeed via ssh.
To find the location of the executable (script):
which spotify
To see if the file is an (executable) binary or (executable) script:
(you already know it is a script, so text based, but just to let you learn)
file /usr/bin/spotify
To actually see the content of the text file:
cat /usr/bin/spotify
Have a good look at the script, to see if you understand it.
The script contains two functions install_spotify and run_spotify.
Below that you see two if fi blocks, a line that calls function run_spotify with some parameters. And next again a if fi block that only gets run if spotify has finished.
It is the first two if fi blocks, and the call to function run_spotify that you need to understand and execute manually.
Thank you RomMon,
I was able to look at the file via SSH and SFTP. I am not sure how to run it manually. Also what specific log file would I look at to trouble shoot it? I was able to install the 20171027 build on 3 different machines and get everything to work. But the only reason I would like to update to the latest build is the fact that, the ability to remove added network locations has been fixed. I need that because I am always updating my network storage data and location as my data grows.
Anyway, I think I will stay with the 20171027 build until the Spotify issue is fixed. Thanks again you have been a great help.
