Is there any benefit to the S912 chipset or would it be better to stick to the s905x
From what I’ve gathered the 912 is faster on paper but within libre it’s running modified drivers does this have any negative effects on its speed

Hi it’s been a few years since I tinkered with a box been relying on my htpc for kodi but fancy getting myself a S912 box, and I wondered if there’s any boxes I should avoid buying either due to unreliability or you can’t flash libreelec on to it
I posted the link to a thread with the fix, maybe you should read that.
sorry didn’t realise it was a link thought you were making a statement
escalade tHe j4205 motherboard is meant to be able to do the 60hz refresh rate or is it SoftWare dependant or something
updated and everything seems o be working fine apart from when i switch to the 4k resolution theres no 60hz refresh rate is this normal
Thank you I’ll give it a try
I've just upgraded my htpc using an Asrock j4205 and wondered which build I should use with it
I’m starting to think it’s not a libreelec issue if I plug my htpc straight to the tv it displays at a higher resolution it’s still greyed out but resolution does change, think it could be a cable issue my receiver can pass through 4K so don’t think that’s an issue
Should I guess or will someone tell me how to do that
I’ve noticed the resolution options are greyed out in the system settings, I’m not sure if this happened after I upgraded to 8.2.1 or after upgrading my htpc.
I only noticed when I went to play some 4k content, it looked amazing but the tv still said it was displaying in 1080p so I’m a little confused
I've got libreelec running on a braswell chipset nuc all running perfect till just now watched a YouTube video went to play another and it would only load the first second and play it over and over (imagine a really bad stutter) first thing I though was a network issue, I'm connected over Ethernet I restarted router checked the Internet on my phone all is good but still have the same problem on my htpc. The very strange thing to me is it even does this with files I've already got downloaded on my hard drive, do any of you geniuses have some ideas I could try to sort this out
Brilliant Thxs for that
Sorted now Thxs not sure what I was doing but fully working just looking to see what I have to do to get it to work in he menus
