I suggest both. Create an USB stick with Windows to be able to do firmware updates. Then install LE on-board.

Often an HDMI firmware update is needed to fix HDMI / audio bugs. I don't think this can be done from BIOS.

Only thing missing now is RAM, probably gets here this weekend, got all the other stuff already.

Out of curiosity why did you decide to go ITX form-factor and not just buy one of the many sub $200 N97 or N100 boxes?

Because i had some unused parts lying around.

Clearly not a mobo though. And you’re still waiting for ram. What other bits lying around would justify that purchase.
