I have noticed that i have some MKV files that seems to upset output resolution in kodi. As they are 2:35 and cropped to the top and bottom of the image that it will only output as 4k if the gui is 4k. Setting the GUI to 1080p these files will only output as 1080p. Yes i have set whitelist and adapt refresh etc on start / stop. All other files play as they should regardless on gui being at 1080p or 4k. I'm thinking the resolution is tripping it up somehow.

Hello
I’ve got a question
I’ve updated to “LibreELEC-RPi5.aarch64-13.0-nightly-20261001-2042916”
As I hadn’t done a backup for a few days, I thought I’d do one after restarting (including the EEPROM update).
No sooner said than done.
The result was a backup named “LibreELEC5-20261001132724.tar.zst”. .zst?
Is that correct?
Regards, jd

Yes, correct. It's now zstd compressed and saving you space.
-
Good morning,
May I ask one more question? (*.zst)
Is this ‘compression’ also backwards compatible?
With previous versions (restoring a backup)
For example, with versions prior to October
Kind regards, jd

No .. but Yes

Older images will not recognise filename.tar.zst as something valid to import, but run unzstd filename.tar.zst and you end up with filename.tar which they do recognise, so it's not a big deal.
-
ergo
if / when
install the old *.img (before .zst)
then the old *.tar backup I’ll make a note of it (*.nfo) that ...
Thanks
Kind regards, jd

Due to operational needs and Amlogic builds now incorporated.
