Legacy v9.2 (LTS) builds for Amlogic S805/S8X2, S905/S912 and all WeTek boxes

    Meanwhile, along with another colleague, we are already suffering in the same topic, although he has a different box, but that is also an n200.

    Everything works, except wifi and bluetooth, with the same AP6330. But there is no trace of anything in dmesg.

    Burn image on the SD with Rufus. Introducing the SD in the MK808B Plus, press the RESET button to start the image and start. I did not do anything else.

    First of all i want to thank you for all the work you are putting into this.

    the below image also sort of works on the MXIII 4k s802 soc (1G/8G) only the network (10/100 Mbps LAN) does not work.

    2. Amlogic Meson8 (S802) and Meson8m2 (S812) SoC on Linux kernel v3.10.108 (LTS):

    • M8S+ with Amlogic S812 SoC (2G/8G):

      Working services: Network (Gigabit LAN, WiFi 2.4+5 GHz, Bluetooth), amremote (all buttons work), HDMI-CEC, NAND boot (installtointernal).

    I get an APIPA address (169.254.204.185) so i am guessing it does not have the right driver because with a static ip address it also does not work. The network cable is fine it works on different devices.

    I also tried different S805 images but they do not boot.

    The build in Bleutooth, wifi and the remote also does not work but i can live without those.

    If you could add network drivers for the MXIII 4k s802 soc (1G/8G) box i would really really appreciate it.

    Tell me if you need more information i will do whatever i can to make it work.

    I have connected it via ethernet and installed the system to the internal memory with the "installtointernal" command via SSH.

    It boots fine and I have tried a Twitch stream for example and it is smoothly playing at 1920x1080. WiFi (and bluetooth) still don't work though.

    Is there anything I could do or try?

    I tried to make some images, these are quite different from the M8S+ in a couple of things, because the experience is that the automatic wifi chip detection doesn’t work properly with this devices. I don't know if this is due to the dtb, but for all of them I set the model by static for the specific wifi chips.

    Libreelec is working very good on the MXIII only i have 1 problem and that is that i cannot turn it on when i turn the box off within kodi.

    It does go to sleep mode but then i cannot turn it on, not with the remote and also not with the power button.

    I have to completely turn off the box by keep holding the power button or to unplug it and then turn it on again and then it works again.

    I have also tried another DTB but still the same issue.

    I hope you can do something to fix it.

    Unfortunately after using the previous ROM via ethernet for a few days I am quite sad with Kodi in general. Can't use spotify on it, configuring an addon for youtube was a pain in the ass and it isn't very user friendly now that it's installed. I also tried an addon for us Spanish users (Alfa Addon) but it doesn't work well. I also spent a few hours trying to troubleshoot another addon, "Torrest", unsuccessfully...
    At this point I don't think any of us at home will ever use this thing, it is just too limited or inconvenient. I don't want to throw it away but that's what is going to happen most probably :(

    I tried to bring it back to life but I regret wasting so much time on this honestly, wasn't worth it.

    I have A Minix X8h Non Plus Box (S802)and your Rom Works Great For Me. I do have to mention that I use an external Usb Ethernet device for wired ethernet. I don't use wifi or have not tried the built in ethernet. Everything other than what I mentioned works. Great job and thanks.

    If you have any questions I'm happy to answer. The M8S (S812) rom worked on my box but the minix specific build is better imo.

    I had the same problem with the M8S (CS_812M8_V1.3). The manufacturer incorrectly implemented the shutdown method in the bootloader, unfortunately you can't really do anything about it. :(

    Unfortunately, none of the third-party providers officially support Kodi (e.g., Youtube, Spotify, Netflix, Amazon, HBO Go, etc.), so all of these add-ons are made by the community. They will never be as “good” as the official Android app created by the manufacturer, but there are some that still have an advantage (e.g. "No ads").

    Okay, his name is datrh and not "Darth". If you really tested his image, you wrote in the wrong topic.

    However, he never made a 9.2.6 image, so... Whose firmware are you using now? It is not clear. :?:

    I truly apologize, I did not mean to offend anyone. I just wanted the dev of this Rom To Know It Works On S802 Amlogic Minix X8h hardware. I use a few roms off and on and I got confused about who made this Rom I'm using. I thank all devs who support these Android boxes.👍
