Hey guys! Does anybody use an lg oled tv with smp's version? I can't enable the true cinema option if I start any HDR content on my Intel nuc. Non-hdr stuff works as expected.
Intel true 10bits/HEVC/HDR support... ?

thx again for your Build SMP
At the moment it does run very well with my gemini lake j5005 itx and my Pulse eight USB adapter.
It would be nice if we could choose which render a video could run with. Kind of like playercorefactory.xml
keep up that good work !!! =)

You can't bitstream audio over the DP port

I have the J4105 Brix and using smp's build, any time refresh rate goes to switch, the screen goes black and ends up saying No Signal. No audio either. I tried with regular 9.2.6 and switching worked, but then no HDR.
I also can't get it to export a logfile, so I figured I would just ask and see if there is any known issue where I might try some setting adjustment or something.

I googled the picture of the Brix Gemini Lake mainboard. For some bizarre reason, it has PTN3366 HDMI level shifter (a chip near the HDMI port).
That chip is not HDMI 2.0 compliant and probably causing these issues.

Thank you! Even if it’s not going to work, it’s good to know rather than spending more hours trying to puzzle it out.

So NUC11 should be shipping now in some places.
For LE I think the i3 version will be safer bet as it uses standard intel gfx while the i5 and i7 uses new XE which may not have support in LE.
No idea if they are native HDMI 2 or LSPCON though. Im hoping native so these builds can work.

All Tiger Lake chips have the same (Gen12) GPU. The difference is only a number of enabled EUs (48 on lower end Celeron 6305).

So Xe is still same Intel Iris but just more EUs?

Panther Canyon NUCs use Intel Tiger Lake SoC.

Will your builds with HDR work on them if they have native HDMI?

They should work but no one tested it yet.

I would love to find hardware that finally fully works video AND audio. So annoying that I get that occasional hickup in audio on Gemini Lake

If you use one hdmi for audio and the other hdmi for video output then its no issues works perfect.

My device only has 1 HDMI not two. I could use the DP for video and HDMI for audio but this will not work smoothly as my setup is kodi box -> AVR -> TV.
For now I'll continue to use my Vero 4k and hope that one day intel hw actually works properly.

Is passthrough audio really that important? Why not just use PCM?
-
My audio setup is 7.1 (I have upfiring atmos/dts:x) speakers hooked up to a denon AVR. I want pure audiosignal the same way that I want the best possible video.
