ds3k driver is better than ds3000 but still it is not same quality like windowz driver
tested with su3000 v2.1

Hi,
Vendor sent to me new driver and there is support for DS3103B
I don't have V3.0 hardware i can't test for it
But still I can't watch high bitrate channels with v2.1 board
i think it is related to usb bandwidth problem of linux
-
i see some related to ds3103b in ds3000 frontend driver

This driver doesn't work either.

when I checked ds3000_firmware.h I found ds3103 firmware have completely different from old ones
old firmwares(ds300x/ds3103) header starts with 0x83, 0x01, 0x00, 0x30
new one header starts with 0x8a, 0x11, 0x11, 0x28
if the problem is caused by the wrong firmware loading but I dont know
does vendor driver upload firmware from ds3000_firmware.h or /lib/firmware/dvb-fe-ds3103.fw(old header)

there are builds for Generic and RPi2 with likely 3103B support at crazycats drivers, pls try if this works !! (youz need to enable the crazycat drivers at the driver chooser)

Hi CvH,
I have a Geniatech HDStar device which I bought around March 2018. I've failed to get it working with Linux. I think it probably has the 3103B chip, but I'm not certain (see my earlier post here). I ran your build with the crazycat drivers and have attached the log. I couldn't see the adapter listed in TVHeadend, but I'm not very familiar with that software, since I normally use MythTV.
Thanks,
David

Look like this old build without using ds3k frontend driver

did you use the build from Index of /test/ds3103b/ ??
the RPi image is confirmed working

The dev build above, with CrazyCat drivers enabled in add-ons->services, and a "B" chip mygica HDStar is working for me! Watching DVB-S on LibreElec for the first time.
CrazyCat, CvH - thanks so much for your hard work on this one!
-
I can't wait to go back home and try it. Once I put my hands on my Technotrend I'll report back here. But I'm afraid that because on my device the chip is different (B version) but has the same device ID as the old one it will cause a problem. What do you think CvH?

That should still work.
Should, you know
-
Looks like ds3103 B revision use same firmware from m88rs6000
Maybe ds3103b is alike from m88rs6000 but without built-in tuner
Modifying in kernel m88rs6000 code may can work
and if it will work we will get mainline kernel support

I'm glad to hear it works for other people. I'll go through and double check if I've missed anything (which is more than likely). Is there a log file for the working version?
