  • Update version 20190404.

Please note that the s905 version has now changed the image name from S905 to AMLGX.

I have tried both 32 and 64 bit 20190410145737-68723cf on P281. Audio is working but video is jut blank black screen.

I checked on the x96 mini (S905W 2\16). Recorded the image, not change dtb, everything works with the default settings

    1. I tested again. Local files are playing fine.

Have you tried streaming HLS url? HLS files are blank while audio is playing.

This means fully open source GPU driver + user space for GUI and *software* video rendering.

Hardware acceleration for video playback has been available in mainline kernel for quite a while now.

  • Available for testing the alpha version of the image LE with the kernel 5.1.0 for Odroid N2. :)

Sound through HDMI does not work yet (need to use USB sound card).

PS Also available version of Armbian kernel 5.1.0 for Odroid N2. :)

  • Magicsee n5 with dtb meson-gxl-s905x-p212.dtb

  • Pay attention. To properly boot the system to SD card on Odroid N2 you need to switch the startup u-boot was installed on SD\eMMC. (that is, the position that is used in the release of equipment from the plant).

I know this is Google translate but come on

    Gone...

  • The new version 20190414 (dir S905_S912). Pay attention, now, to S905\S905X\S912 use a single image AMLGX. DTB for (S905X) is enabled by default. To run on other you need to edit “uEnv.ini” (to specify the correct DTB). The good news is that the version of “arm” (32 bits) on S912 started to work and you can test Netflix on S912.

  • hey wifi is not working in libreelec and armbian

I tested on coreelec and alexelec and there wifi is ok

dmesg in alexelec and coreelec shows ssv6200 wifi card

  • A.S._id read the error message on the screen and do what it tells you (create .nocompat)

pan.rozowy mainline kernel images will not support SSV wireless chips due to the driver code being utter rubbish and SSV going bust in 2016 which all but guarantees nobody will update the driver code. We did have a go at updating the SSV6051 driver but ran out of enthusiasm due to it being such awful code. Use a wireless Ethernet bridge .. better performance and more future-proof than USB wireless dongles (beware that we are unlikely to add support for cheap Realtek WiFi chip devices due to Realtek code also being low-quality).

  • chewitt This needs boot pc into linux or SFmounts, mount system.img. Tar maybe edit via total commander? After this needs to create md5... It's very difficult 😏

  • Images for G12 devices (X96/N2, etc.) are still rather "work in progress" in places. You only need to do "touch /storage/.update/.nocompat" but that will need another Linux device to mount the SD card from. It's probably easier to create a clean SD card.

  • okay, tonight will try. By the way, why to do md5 file separately for every img if can to add md5 into all archive?

    "md5sum -t *.tar >> *.tar"

    "ren *.tar *.tar.md5"
