Crackling sound here too on a raspberry 3B+.
I2s output.
audio_pwm_mode=2 didn't fix.
Reducing audio level in kodi by 2 steps make it disappear but a better fix is welcome
Edit : still slight clipping distorsion with 2 steps reduction. 3 steps is safer with loud tracks
audio clipping distortion on i2s output is fixed with this firmware

8.2.4 has issues with networking speed for me - most noticeable on streaming services.

same issue here on libreelec 8.2.4 (in my mind also 8.2.3), needed to go back to 8.0.2.
rpi3 analog output bad sound with TV/PVR streaming.
i can also confirm, deactivating deinterlace solves the issue so far on 8.2.4.

Can you test the latest firmware with 8.2.4 and confirm if that resolves the audio issue?

sorry, but there are no changes. with 8.2.4 and these 3 firmware files, still bad audio on analog out.

Hi. I’m running LEIA and I still have this white noise when using the analogue output through the amplifier.
I’ve tried changing various settings but get no change.
I do notice that if I reboot, it goes silent for a while but then when it starts to load the operating system the white noise appears again. Could it just be the hardware? I’m running RasPi2
