Make sure that you install the FD628 Service addon in Kodi.
Hi, I already had it.
I uninstalled it and installed it again. It is version 1.1.10. I rebooted and nothing, still only the clock works.

Thanks!
I installed the service in the Post 128 and it worked Why the one I already had did not update to yours?
Then, could you please put it in the first page, so we do not bother you unneccessarily?
Thanks again
Well, if I leave the Auto-update enabled, it is updated to the one which does not work...
I reinstalled it again and disabled auto-update button.
What is the problem?
Thanks!
I'm not sure why it auto updates to the wrong version. The driver is still very much a work in progress, and there was a big change made to it after 8.90.6, which prevents the older addon from working.
You can keep updates disabled for now, there won't be any more updates to it on the official LE repo.
I'm looking for someone with the following boxes: "MXV+ S905" / "M9 Pro" / "CSA93" to test whether the driver will work with i2c based display drivers. Please reply or PM me if you have one of these and can help with testing.
Support was added for the FD650 (actually for TM1650) and for the HBS658 chips.
I have mxv + s905, what should I do?

Is there a way to have libre elec reflect changes in vdf.conf without having to reboot?
I'm assuming you can do something with /usr/sbin/FD628Service

Yes, type in
I will try that again, and check to see if that works. (I figured something was wrong as it didn't return a command prompt after issuing.)
Thanks Coolest

The display works perfect on this box. Without the addon it displays only time...
That didn't fix it.
But I have solved it.
fd628.service needs an execstops in it, in regards to a loaded module, and a command running.
When the service starts, it adds the aml_fd268 module using parameters found in the vfd config file.
But you can't change parameters in a running module, it needs to be unloaded and added again.
The fd628.service when a stop/restart is requested needs to first stop FD628Service, then needs to remove the module aml_fd268.
So for anyone who has this issue:
Modify your vfd config file
fuser -k /usr/sbin/FD628Service
rmmod aml_fd268
systemctl restart fd628
Cheers,
Gary
