Client!

Just installed the img.gz image to a usb using rufus. Then had to put the correct device tree on to it.
Booted Beelink Mini MIII set up wifi etc, then copied tar file to update folder, rebooted.
Remote works
Seems quicker that using the plex client on my Samsung tv
Plex server is on my Synology NAS

Folks,
The Kore (kodi remote) app from playstore works with Open PHT.
Apart from that I'd just like to comment that on a few occasions when I've booted up, it hasn't signed me in and won't allow me to sign in manually. Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything else that can be done other than reboot until it signs in and my libraries are detected?
Thanks in advance for any info on the above.

Don't know if it's the same for you but on mine I noticed that the auto sign-in to Plex in the Settings menu is greyed out. Wonder if it's by design or just a bug.
-
Hi Brachiator. We seem to be hogging this tread a bit.
Yes, auto sign-in is greyed out for me too. That said, most of the time I am signed in automatically when I start OpenPHT. Since I last posted, I've not had any problems with it at startup.

hi, what is the ssh User & Password?
-
-
Actually, I believe it's root/openelec
-
Well chaps, I'm sorry to differ but the ssh password is still openpht. I had posted this info earlier in the tread so it proves the point that people tend not to read before asking. I have ssh'd into the box to prove to myself that i was right before posting this.
-
I have now learnt something, I ASSUMED, the password would be the same as Libreelec. I only tried OpenPHT for a short while.
It just goes to show don't assume anything.
But you are right, it seems a lot of questions are asked before people search the forum.
-
Yup you're right of course sonofdibna , not trying to backpedal here but that was a typo on my part of course it is openPHT.
On another note, it's really too bad that the OP has abandoned this little project, it's been a long time since we've had any joy with this.
I still can't really use it because my remote is not functioning properly yet it functions fine in Libreelec so go figure. Anyways, I hope the OP comes back and keeps working on it.

Can someone kindly explain the difference between this build and the original rasplex/openpht one.
-
Hello,
I'm new to this, I have a s905x box.
Libreelec is working on it (kszaq's one) but when using plex plugin, it can't read h265 videos on my plex server.
by searching i got here, but is it possible to install this version like an other ?
Or must i compile it for my device ?
-
@kuroro20 If you go in the Plex for Kodi plugin settings, you will see a setting to enable h265. Make sure it is enabled. As for this build, you can simply drop the .tar (choose the correct one for your box) into the update folder in Libreelec.

Hi, guys. I would like to thank team LE, team Rasplex, Kszaq, Veisen for their contributions.
I am gonna share with you my compilation with the errors corrected.
Here it is. Enjoy!

Thanks, it worked very well!

Any chance there will be a port of the PlexMediaPlayer (PMT) 2.x to S905 devices?
