I was hoping to get an amazon fire stick to work with libreelec, I'm looking for a remote, works out of the box and doesn't need light of sight (bluetooth ?)
What remote do you use?

I am using either TV remote, on TV without CEC I am using whatever old remote from abandoned devices, via IR/GPIO

I'm using this remote/keyboard with my RPi3 + LibreElec Kodi setup.

Tivo remote, designed for set-top boxes, perfect if you libreelec with pvr, even turns my chromebox on and off along with the tv.

I'm leaning towards getting a HAMA remote , good reviews and being infra-red you don't need to worry about Wireless or Bluetooth working.

This guy likes the HP MCE remote.

Currently using the Rii i28 pretty nice device with backlit keyboard. Loving it so far on my pc (using generic x86_64)

I use a replacement amazon fire tv remote (bluetooth). I am saving up for a Harmony Elite. Its hard for me to flip through all my libraries with IR anymore.

Using a Harmony 950 with a Hub, so basically an Elite. Also switched over from IR to Bluetooth based control on the Harmony. So the harmony typical delay is gone finally, but I have to test it a bit further with bluetooth, because sometimes the bluetooth pairing gets lost. This issue could be related to the early stage of Odroid C2 development, and I'm switching the builds a lot.

I am using a Harmony 950. It is configured with the Xtreamer ULTRA device settings (from within Logitech). Recently I cannot use the GUIDE button, as it is doing, what it is supposed to do (opening the EPG window), but to begin with it opened the context menu (letter C on the keyboard if connected). What to do? How can I change this? I want the "GUIDE" button on my remote to open the context menu (letter C on the keyboard).

Minix A2 needs a bit config writing, but not much and is a great device.
