Tool under Linux Mint oversized and not usable

  • Hello!

I downloaded here for Linux 64 and did:

    1. cd ~/Downloads
    2. chmod +x LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-64bit.bin
    3. sudo ./LibreELEC.USB-SD.Creator.Linux-64bit.bin

It opens, but 3 times as big as shown in Videos via Windows, so I can't get past Point 2 because its not adjustable in size nor movable to the top!

    What can I do?

  • You could install your version of Mint in a VM and see if you get the same error. If that's Ok, then something in your setup is causing the issue.

If I get time, I'll try installing 17.3 in a VM, if you're unable or unsure how to. I'm guessing cinnamon desktop.

  • Ubuntu 14.04 checking in as well with oversized Creation Tool. 64bit version is oversized with no way to resize and I can't get to the bottom. 32bit version won't start for me. Must be drivers?

  • Iridium

Thanks, haven't ever used a VM.

gigachuckle has the same problems, it seems to not be so uncommon...

At least I did not modify my system in a special way, it must be a driver issue.

  • Must be drivers

It surely must be drivers of some sort.

I've tested the USB/SD Creator tool on multiple 64bit Ubuntu machines (Intel+nvidia), and I had no double sized windows. Nobody in the LE team uses Mint, so we never encountered that.
