I am having the same issue with the custom update channel...
When i put the following link:
and set the update version to LibreELEC-8.0 then system page goes blank...
Then i go to oe_settings.xml delete the update channel settings and go and set again the link and the version... Again i get a blank system page,...
Do you have any idea why this is happening?

I also got a blank system page when filling in updateAll.php as update channel...
Blank page again...

Not in current shape. You also have to keep in mind that my builds are ongoing work in progress, not everybody wants to test. Custom update channel also doesn't provide support for device tree update in case it's needed - and it will be if "full Nougat" kernel makes it into regular builds.
However, I wrote an update server which runs on the LibreELEC box itself:

Is there a way modify this to download the temp_sensor_disable version as an option or instead of the standard version. One of my Amlogic boxes occasionally fails to boot on the standard version.

Yieeaah already thought of that - just add -notemp to your custom channel url (ie http://localhost:8083/s905-notemp)

I think you need to have a look HERE
Basic procedure is:
1. Create and save a backup using LE Settings.
2. Download the 8.0.2 image you want (8.0.2b latest).
3. Create SD from those files using SD Creator.
4. Boot from SD and restore your backup file using LE Settings.
5. If you are satisfied after *thorough* testing use the "installtointernal" command to permanently install to your box's internal memory.

Is there a new script so we can update directly from inside Kodi instead of downloading the file externally?
You can download the new version directly to the box in the File manager.
Just add /storage/.update and "http://kszaq.libreelec.tv/s905" to sources and you can copy and reboot.
I have an addon for updating the firmware from your dropbox account. If anyone is interested I'll post it.
