I cannot see any evidence of a BT chip in the lspci/lsusb output and dmesg shows nothing about BT devices - the last few lines are standard kernel log spew and don't mean anything. Identifying the chipset inside is the first stage of figuring out what's needed. If you have any output from an OE install that works, it would be useful.

It would mean i'd have to install OE on my Beebox, losing LE data. Can I easily create a backup from LE ?

Post the output of "lspci"

Installed OpenELEC, bluetooth working instantly, results from "dmesg | paste" are : VPVW

Looks like we need to update the misc-firmware package to include various newer firmwares. It's an easy fix for LE 8.0.2.
-
Thats great.. looking forward to the fix !
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like rtl8821a_fw.bin (the one used for his BT chip) has not been updated in 2 years, so updating misc-firmware won't help. I did a quick google search and didn't come up with any later revision either. Perhaps some kernel option is missing for it to load properly?

hammerboy.. please test this image Index of /test/ and report back, it has updated misc-firmware. NB: It's tagged as 8.0.2 but don't read anything into the version number; release is a way off yet.

hammerboy, that image is updated with a large patch from OE's collection that probably solves a bug in the driver. Test again and report back.

chewitt .. I tried again, unfortunately it makes no difference. 'Bluetooth adapter not found'

LibreELEC (Krypton) v8.0.2 MR brings an update to Kodi v17.3, improved support for Intel WIFI and Bluetooth devices, and minor nip/tuck fixes for user-reported issues since v8.0.1.
Unfortunately, with LE 8.0.2, my bluetooth detection problems still aren't resolved.
