Raspberry Pi 2 - Wont start

Hi,

I have installed stable LibreElec on an SD card for Raspberry Pi 2.

When I try to start/boot the pi, nothing happends.

The light on the pi only goes red, and it wont start or boot...

I have tried this with to different Pi 2, with the same result.

Anyone knows what the problem is?

Perhaps you still installed the wrong LibreELEC build (for RPi 1 or 0 maybe), but then you'd likely get a rainbow screen.
Use the LibreELEC USB/SD Creator and select the correct image, and write it to your SD card.

I used the USB/SD Creator

OK!

But the same sd card can be used with Raspbian and it works. I can also install LibreElec for wetek core on the same sd card, and that works too...

Sounds odd. Double check you're writing the RPi2 file. Also check the LED pattern when booting the RPi2 - the number of flashes of the green LED gives a cute to what is failing/missing. Also check the contents of the FAT partition in a PC - make sure all the files are there and there's no corruption.

might want to use SDFormatter to wipe the SD card first with the size adjustment set to on, then run the USB/SD Creator with the proper img file.

Might be nitpicking. But the RPi2 doesn´t use a SD-card. It uses a micro SD-card. If you really have a SD-card you should own a RPi1 and therefore the RPi2 image won´t work and you should get a rainbow colored screen. So please check if you really own a RPi2 and if you aren´t sure try the RPi1 image.

I am sure that I have a Raspberry Pi 2

Then you use a microSD-card with an SD-card adapter

Did you run the USB/SD Creator as Administrator? That caused the same issue in my case. You have to run the tool as Administrator on Windows. Hope this will help.

By now, Raspberry Pi now has its own SD writer software.

And yes, replying to a 3-year old topic is not the best option.
