Make sure your firmware (especially BIOS and HDMI) is up-to-date. This might require Windows.

Hmm. It might be this.
- https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/issues/8488(I haven’t seen the error for a while)
EGL_BAD_PARAMETER
….
When the screen goes dim in 5 minutes, then you click the remote or a key on the keyboard, does it come back to life, or is the screen frozen, with just the audio “clicking”? -
Screen stays frozen with audio
Some times screen is black some times it wakes to the last displayed image being frozen. But audio works at least for a while and then It seems to crash kodi.
Kodi remote can’t restart system but ssh reboot works. -
Can you please test these 2 images.

- should work for you (it has the fences PR reverted) I think -
Just to explain my suggestion: Here is a user, who had no audio after suspend, and firmware update was the fix:
Thread[Intel NUC8] No Audio After Suspend
I know this thread is almost 4-years old, but I am having the same problem with my NUC8i5BEK. The USB-C port passes audio but no video at all. I am using a "uni USB C to HDMI Adapter 4K | High Speed HDMI to USB-C Adapter | Type C (Thunderbolt 3/4) HDMI Converter" that I bought from Amazon for $7.98
This adapter works perfectly with my wife's Macbook Air M1 Laptop. I don't know if it's a Linux driver issue or the adapter is not compatible with the NUC.blueribbFebruary 20, 2024 at 8:53 PM -
Hi Da Flex - all good. Pretty sure this is the opposite audio=ok and video=bad - I have had it and this is the tracking issue on Generic - https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/issues/8488

also thank you Da Flex for your time and for taking an interest.
is this a short patch or something that can be pushed out into PR? -
I’ll draft PR it. Need to discuss with the team on a holistic fix. You are ok to use that image for the time being as it was built using the same build process as our nightly/official images (just with the patch.)
-
Fox243 pr raised - will be discussed. https://github.com/LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv/pull/8761

Patch is now in nightlies.
