I need to test several changes on my build that require a lot of try and error.
How can I generate a update.tar just with the part of LE that I'm changing?
The modification is related to one package inside linux-drivers, it's part of the *.kernel or *.system files?
Incremental updates... That kind of sourcery is unfortunately not yet possible in LibreELEC.
Which changes are testing? Perhaps there is a simpler way to test things.

The way our build system works it's quite trivial to change one tiny part of the OS, but you cannot apply an incremental patch to existing KERNEL or SYSTEM files so you must replace both.

I'm testing some modifications over the WIFI driver that is used by my device.

It's very boring copy the full LE image to test just one small part.
If this is kernel module then you can just copy file.ko and manually unload/load.
