The last LE image for WP2 that supports the internal tuner is LE 9.0.2. I'm not sure what you think is incomplete about it?

The beelink-s922x image on that page is designed to overwrite the internal emmc storage. It's not something you can use to boot the factory box from as vendor u-boot doesn't understand extlinux boot configurations. You'd need to boot from the box image first, then use 'emmctool' to overwrite emmc with the beelink image, but due to an issue which I haven't pinned down yet, when you attempt high I/O load when booted from vendor u-boot the box will deadlock and probably leaves the device in non-bootable state. It's possible to recover the box with Amlogic burning tool and a factory ROM image, but not everyone finds that simple. So you're welcome to experiment with those images but I do not support them. If you mess up your box, it's not my problem to help you sort it out.

Just to confirm this image is working flawlessly. I did upgrade from official 9.0.2 to the communicty from the link and my Wetek Play 2 is now running latest kodi build (18.9). The only one thing to make it happen I had to create '.nocompat' file in the update folder.
The problems I have so far is the compatibility with my WiFi6 router, but I can run it on cable and it seems HDMI port is crapping out. I really like the CEC support on this box. Besides that WETEK as a company is pile of sh*t.

WP2 has eMMC not NAND storage (despite what the WeTek boot splash says). I'm still working on mainline u-boot support for WP2 (and WH). It is not currently possible to truly boot the box from internal emmc as MBR structures and boot firmware conflict with each other (both need to reside in the first sector of emmc). The vendor u-boot has hacks to coexist things but we don't want to replicate this as it would never be accepted upstream. However it should be posssible to have mainline u-boot on an SD card and LE files on emmc storage.
I will try to build a WP2 project with my modified 9.0.2 codebase. I will use kszaq's latest 3.14 for it, because the official LE's latest kernel has a lot of issues with CEC, and there is no amremote support either.
