I need to delay start of the graphics subsystem

Does autostart.sh execute before the graphics subsystem is initialized?

It takes my TV 15 seconds to appear to exist to my RPi4. Every time I start my system, I need to walk over and power cycle the RPi.

Is it possible to delay boot for 15s, including monitor detection?

You could turn on the TV first, and then power on the RPi.

You could also try to import the EDID of the TV.

How old is the TV?

autostart.sh will not help, because it starts after the Kodi process. Consider to add hdmi_force_hotplug=1 to config.txt.

No. Kodo is only started after (technically: the main process of) Kodi Autostart Service finished. Please test with sleep 20 in autostart.sh

mglae Thx for the info. Usually I start everything inside autostart.sh as background process, and order is not relevant.

TomB19 Probably both approaches have a good chance to work, but I would prefer my one.

maybe generate an EDID of your tv and use that ?

So the RPI always expect the TV defined at the edid.
