Two identical systems with matching cards but small diff in size???

  • The one with more free disk space probably has not cached all possible thumbs yet.

  • Even if the cards are declared same size they have different actual size. The difference can vary to even 1 GB.

    It is nothing to worry :)


    That's why making SD card image and restoring to another card doesn't always work.

    Peter kind of nailed it better I think. Didn't consider that. But of you look at what I posted. It's the "total size" regardless of what is or isnt used thst I questioned.

    I dont do images so not much to work about.


    Ex. 64 backup to a 32 disk dont matter if the backups only like a gig.

  • Some SD cards, I think the most, have their own error correction system. So bad blocks will be sorted out, and the card still works with now less total memory.
