Simple webpage on port 80

I would find it useful to have a simple website on the default port 80 that could have some simple help details and stats etc and can be customised to forward to different web frontends for kodi, emby, tvheadend etc. I'm always forgetting the correct ports for the various installed frontends!!

Just wondering if anyone else would find this useful?

port had the same idea in the past, but Kodi is using port 80 so you need another port

Maybe a list at the Wiki is helpful

oh, kodi is at 8080 for me, I must have changed it ages ago and forgot

You could probably run a Docker webserver without too many issues (Famous last words)

or just create a "Free" Wiki page online

If anyone is interested. I installed the lamp plugin that puts a web server on port 4080, then updated the httpd.conf to use port 80. (You will need to change the Chrous port if on 80).

Lamp is available here - Index of /lamp/, install via kodi

Attached is my simple web frontend.

I really like the idea, thinking of shipping some kind of tiny http server with some kind of modular plugins. So basically if you install Tvh you get a button there, if not there is no button.

Python http server and some static HTML should work easily

Kodi web server doesn't support of serving static custom pages anymore? I think it was working one time.

It is simple - just put files and open them in browser.

Wondering it would be ok to bump this old thread?

I have updated to LE10 and there no longer seems to be an option to install a simple web service like LAMP.

I'm just after a feature to host a static page on port 80 that points to the frontends on the box like tvheadend, emby and kodi.

Thanks, I was hoping for a solution so that I can just go to http://device_id/ the lamp add-in on port 80 worked perfectly. I just know I would keep forgetting the URL for the static kodi page.
