[SOLVED] Shutdown Breaks GUI Settings

Hardware: Raspberry Pi, Model 3B+

Software: LibreELEC 8.90.005

Log File: kodi.log

Bug Appearing: shutdown (from SSH) while playing a video stream, TV HDMI modes are not detected right anymore after shutdown

I will try to reproduce the bug.

I will also check whether it's a PSU issue. Maybe the HDMI signal is too weak to set the right display mode on TV.

Change your loglevel to '1' via the advancedsettings.xml, so debugging is enabled by default but you won't have on-screen stats.

Yes, I already did that to report a different bug.

It turned out that I had a bad HDMI cable. Since using a new HDMI cable, the bug doesn't appears anymore.

My theory: The bad cable has some lose inner contacts, because the outer contacts are all gold-plated. The lose contacts created an incomplete whitelist on guisettings.xml. The broken HDMI connection was unable to transfer the proper whitelist to Kodi. Problem solved.
