    Actually on LE 9.0.2 I have noticed a "bug": there is a single green LED light on the left side that is on all of the time. LEDs function as expected (like pause, fast forward, etc) but after about one second the green LED comes back on.

    I have noticed the same sometimes. The only way I have found to 'cure' it, well make it go away for a while, is to removed the power plug from the Slice or the 'wall wart' from the wall. If it does not work first time, power down again and remove power. Seems to work then.


    I recall that the Slice folks thought it was a saved state which did not always get reset at power on / reset.

    Well, good news, the respun version works fine on both my Slices. I confirmed that the sys info screen shows a compile date of 2019-05-05 to verify that the update did happen without issues.

    Thanks - on a hunch, I had actually tried that before installing the respin ...and that cured the green LED.

    Yes I to sometimes get the Green led on left as well, I did raise it with Gordon, when he was around, never got anywhere with it.

    I power off my Slice every night, so it comes and goes, I ignore it nowadays.

    We have a new test version for slice, we updated the way the "special" hardware is build and it would be nice if someone could test.

    Otherwise we can't move forward for the slice so any help is appreciated.


    Caution this is a test image based at LE master and this is likely nothing you want to run as default setup :)

    We need to know if the LED and the RTC is still working or not.

    Tested on my CM3 Slice.


    LEDs seem to work OK


    RTC works too. Removed power and internet and it reboots with correct time having been off for a few minutes.


    Plays music and video OK too on a very short test.



    I will revert to standard build. Ask if you want anything else tested.

    We'll add the changes to LE master, LE10 is still very far away but at least we know that we should be good for now :)

    tested as requested. 9.1.002 installs and loads OK. Plays music fine, no video to test on this particular Slice. LEDs function correctly in a short test.


    If you think it is stable enough to give a longer test, please ask and I will install on my other slice which has screen and kbd attached. I used an HDMI cable and a kbd / mouse. (normally running headless using VNC) for this test.


    Have reverted to release version.

    Video and audio working, except that there is no Pulse Audio, so I can't use BlueTooth audio, in the previous build which had the fixes done by HiassofT it was present and worked, but not in this latest build, unless I'm missing out on something. :(
