I have the desire to test Orange PI PC philips32 1080p images :)

Thanks in advance for the support and if you pay attention to these errors. The system works very very nice.

I can also help with finding mistakes

I am currently using OpenELEC-H3.arm-7.0-devel-20161026221506-r23113-g64b34b3-opipc it works great everything above but it also does not support several codecs

  • I added image for OrangePi Lite and new update for all images.

    jack82

please understand than current images are composed of alpha quality LibreELEC, beta quality Kodi and pre-alpha quality of Allwinner specifics, including HW video codecs.

As I said in OP, MPEG2 is the only really working codec, while H264 and H265 are far from fully working. It will probably take months before they are ready

I'm not sure plugins will work well with any image I'll release, because my images will always have latest development version of Kodi, where plugin interface might change. However, you can always build the plugin you want from the source I provide. Things will stabilize once Allwinner project is good enough to be merged in main branch and thus receive official support.

  • You know I guess about the problems described above

Thanks for the new patches I will share an impression Orange pi pc . Continue, I will follow with interest and update my libreelec

  • I added image for OrangePi Lite and new update for all images.

I tested it on an Orange Pi PC. The update worked without a problem, I could update add-ons (from the official repository), the system works without any crashes or other issues, but no improvements with the videos that caused problems before: Some H.264 videos downloaded from the Internet, H.265 recordings from DVB-T2 HD: they are 1080p. The thumbnail that is shown as the info picture is decoded without problems, though.

  • thanks

  • Yeah, I didn't change much regarding codecs, just few small fixes. Most important update this time is Kodi bump to beta3.

    any help with this?

  • At the moment only hardware hardware acceleration works

    OpenELEC-H3.arm-7.0-devel-20161026

in this version and works steadily no problem

The other new solution is here with wait for the person to finish the image

  • work but no wifi.

As mentioned in OP, RTL8189FTV driver is not included and due to future direction of LibreELEC it probably won't work later anyway, unless someone rewrites driver completely. I suggest you use some cheap wifi dongle which already have good mainline kernel support.

I think I have spoken correctly upwards all other versions have problems with hardware acceleration. drop your cable and enjoy it smoothly OpenELEC-H3.arm-7.0-devel-20161026 here there are only problems with х265 of rare files.

  • LibreELEC-H3.arm-8.0-devel-20170516114055-r25546-g745f679-opipcplus.img

    That's not my work.

OE port is superior for now, at least for HW decoding. But it is totally unsupported. BTW, this thread was made only to show what is achievable with current mainline kernel, it's not meant to replace OE images right away. When it will be good enough to do that, it will be promoted to official LE repository.

  • Jernel Do you think that your development will in the future support 4К video it's not important, I just ask curiosity.

  • Hello

I tried LibreELEC-H3.arm-9.0-devel-20180916195318-fff0327-beelink_x2.img base image and wired networking didn't work on my Beelink X2. On Armbian_5.59_Beelinkx2_Debian_stretch_next_4.14.65 wired networking worked fine.

Is there a way to install update without networking?

  • Do you think that your development will in the future support 4К video

That's the plan. But before that, I have to buy such monitor.

Is there a way to install update without networking?

No. I don't have X2, so I can't really do anything. If you find something, you can do PR to LE allwinner repo.

  • The "OrangePi PC" U-Boot is broken. U tried community images and my own ones build from git.

None boot up on "OrangePi PC". But "OrangePi One" Image boots up on "Orange PI PC", but isn't working.
