LibreELEC 8.x images for additional dvb drivers

  • Incase anyone is interested I have the BlackGold BGT3602/3600 working in vanilla LibreELEC 8.0. The changes to get it to compile with latest media_build package were actually pretty minimal, just minor API changes. I went with patching vanilla LibreELEC as I couldn't work out your init changes.

    fHMZ is the diff.

    Very happy that I can continue to use this card as it cost a load of money and has four tuners..

    Hello alcoheca - I have a blackgold four tuner card and am desperate to get it to work with LibreElec. You link (fHMZ) no longer works. Could you point me in the direction to get my tuner to work please? Thanks!!!!

  • Hello,

    is it possible to fix CrazyCat drivers for TBS (5520SE - 5521)? I have this card and with Official TBS drivers works everything OK but CrazyCat has errors and don't work (using last LibreELEC (additional dvb drivers) v8.2.0 (Kodi Krypton v17.5)).

    Thanks, Marduk

  • Hello, now I tried last LE 9.0 x64 test build from Milhouse and there are no official TBS drivers. With CrazyCat drivers, there is still a problem.

    dmesg:

    Thanks for help, Marduk

  • Hello, for me better solution is to get CrazyCat drivers to work. I want use 5520SE with TV box based on AML 905. Another path is to integrate official TBS drivers to Coreelec. Now CrazyCat drivers in CE doesn't work too (as in LE generic). I will try compile own CE build.

    Thanks, Marduk

  • Hello, for info log from own build CE (debug on)

  • Yes, I expected that mention of anything other than LE would trigger this reaction. That's why I wrote "for info". Just to show that the same behavior is on another system. That's probably not a problem in the kernel but in the driver. The previous posts were about Generic x64 builds with both official drivers and CrazyCat drivers. If you have a problem with it, just delete the post. M

  • Hi, after installing the latest version of the DVB drivers, my Terratec H7 stopped to work and my

    TechnoTrend TT-connect CT2-4650 CI v1.1 fails too, only my third tuner TechnoTrend TVStick CT2-4400 works.

    Only the Hauppauge version recognizes all 3 cards (TBS and kernel drivers only see the TVStick).

    I wish I made a copy of the original DVB drivers version that was working ...

    Is it possible to get it back pleaaaaaaaase

  • I just realized how cumbersome the information I gave was, sorry.

    I had a version (can't remember which one though) installed a while back (around january 2017), and decided to install the latest Libreelec, when I realized that the DVBC cards were not recognized I installed LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.1.img.gz and tried all version of the drivers. I did this via the .update directory

    The only set of drivers that recognized all DVB cards was the Hauppauge.

    Unfortunately although the cards are recognized, something does not work the only functional card is the stick.

    So the non working version is the LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.1.img.gz

    The bits of dmesg that I sent before comes from the LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.1.img.gz version

    As per the paste it does not seems to work either:

    TVSERVER:~ # dmesg | paste

    <html>

    <head>

    <title>500 Internal Server Error</title>

    </head>

    <body>

    <h1>500 Internal Server Error</h1>

    The server has either erred or is incapable of performing the requested operation.<br /><br />

  • Now after much farting about with older version (from my backups), I reinstalled the LibreELEC-RPi2.arm-8.2.0-dvb-1.1.1.img.gz and ... the addon (selection of drivers) has disappeared ???

    I suppose I should reinstall from scratch or ?
