nice work crazycat
tested latest branch w/ tbs5990. not sure what is happening & used make menuconfig (see logs)I had your previous tbs5990 earlier branch tuner A working today with modprobe option for bulk transfer (success worked)
However Tuner B had poll/retune issue in tvheadend.maybe my setup - ubuntu 14.04 - 4.2 kernel not sure what I'm doing wrong
Ok, look like incorrect i2c bus nums used.
I make extend dual demod config for cx231xx driver - cx231xx: Extend dual demod config. · crazycat69/linux_media@fe5dbaa · GitHub
and disable analog audio support (ALSA) for TBS boxes - cx231xx: Disable analog audio support per device. · crazycat69/linux_media@71c347f · GitHub
so not need disable CX231XX Alsa support in config.
Please check latest branch (with my updated media_build).

any ideas whats this?!
its currently under investigation that we can build these stuff also at the armlogic devices, some patches are needed or it won't work
I make extend dual demod config for cx231xx driver
tx I do a new build this evening
Uploaded 1.64
- change/updated Digital Device back to main repo -> major upgrade (support for some v2 cards)
- updated ljalves-cc to latest
- updated tbs-oss to latest
tried version 1.64, still having image problems, but it is only on some channels, others work fine, tvheadend gives various outputs:
2016-08-18 23:21:46.301 TS: Test/141MHz/Cartoon Network HD Transport error indicator (total 22)2016-08-18 23:21:46.326 TS: Test/141MHz/Cartoon Network HD: H264 @ #2610 Continuity counter error (total 16)
On desktop PC there is not this problem, using same tuner and same drivers
Ok, look like incorrect i2c bus nums used.

that's all working now after latest commits. great work
one slight thing left though, looks as if Tuner B isn't getting the bulk transfer options log from tvheadend
I lsmod'd and can only see the 1 cx231xx module loaded.. maybe needs cfg parameter duplicated for tuner B
leave that one with you lol
Anyone has the same discontinuity errors that I have mentioned?

thanx i had tryd to install ubuntu 16.04 and could not get it to reconise in TVH but Libreelec has got t day 1
but thought i would ask b4 installed it , dunna why ubuntu 16 would not see it though
Is transcoding with HW supported, like Intel QuickSync?
I plan to install this on a Asus Chromebox, would be awesome if it supported transcoding using the GPU, since the CPU in Chromebox is weak
Is transcoding with HW supported, like Intel QuickSync?
no - Intel QuickSync is kind of giant mess
the new hero in town is vaapi encoding what is offered by ffmpeg 3.1
GitHub - lekma/tvheadend at codecs <- not yet ready
Nobody has the same issue with discontinuity errors?
CvH,
Hello CvH,
I thaught that perraps you could help me !
For my experience and my pleasure, I'm trying to build my own LE with ljalves for my tbs 6280.
I know that you build it for us and I thank you very much for that.
I've "git clone" LibreELEC.tv official 7 branch and git clone your LE dvb-drivers branch.
I've copy your ljalves ans tbs-firmware folders into LibreELEC official and add ljalves and tbs-firmware in option file of distribution folder.
So all is correctly build with this two drivers.
But when I do fresh install and intall tvheadend, the is no tv adapter in the list ...
What am I missing ???
Thank you very much for your help ..
Beber
Hi guys,
can someone confirm if the DD Cine S2 V7 is working with CvH's build?
I want to buy one of these when I move to my new flat. (DVB-S instead of cable crap yeeeha)

They should work (at least the drivers are in - maybe a fw is missing but this could be easily fixed if necessary), as always DVBSky S952 V3 or TBS6904 or similar are also nice alternatives with proper in kernel drivers (TBS should be soon in).
This may be slightly off-topic, but is there any chance of getting nightly TVH builds for Amlogic S905 (arm64) devices? I'm using kszaq's LE build (LibreELEC) on an S905 android TV box, and my DVB devices work fine, but the TVH build is just the last stable release. It would be really great to be able to use nightlies instead. Thanks in advance.
