    This works for me, however I have to run it everytime I reboot PI

    Is there a startup area I can put this in?

    Is the spotify_appkey.key unique oder the same for every user? I just found one to download and it is working.
    I see the webinterface on port 4000.

    Now my problem is: The webinterface shows the playing music but mostly I don't hear anything. But sometimes it is working (I can't really reproduce it). I tried all the possibilities in the configuration wizard but that didn't solve the problem
    I am using a raspberry Pi with Libreelec and Hfiberry DAC. What do I have to select in the configuration wizard? The options are:
    - default:CARD=sndrpihifiberry
    - sysdefault:CARD=sndrpihifiberry

    Does it matter which one I select? And Mixer Analogue or Digital?

    For the audio software "Volumio 2" somebody created a Spotify Connect Plugin (also based on the Fornoth Spotify-Connect-Web) that installs its own spotify_app_key! I have tested Volumio 2 and the plugin on a RPi 2b and it works, so maybe this is also an option for your add-on/Service?

    I just got my app key with this message(FYI):


    under this there were some code like:

    there is also an attachement with the spotify_appkey.key

    The Problem is:
    It isn't working anymore. I don't get any connection to the webservice. With the key I downloaded from the internet, is is working.
    Do I have to create the binary file by myself? I copied the code under --[ BINARY APPKEY ]--- in a editor and saved it as spotify_appkey.key but this neither works.

    EDIT1: in other words: How do I create the binary file out of the code?
    EDIT2: the binary code starts with echo. When I put it in terminal it says: Invalid character in input stream

    You have to download the mail attachement spotify_appkey.key and copy this file in smb://libreelec.local/userdata/addon_data/service.spotify-connect-web

    Also, are you using a key file provided by Spotify?

    I tried it with the key I got from spotify today but it does not work. I need the key as a binary file right? Maybe the key I received as the .key-file isn't a binary file and thats the problem? I don't know..
