Khadas VIM2 and DTV board

  • Shoog I used my build with device tree provided. ;) But I had a list o pre-scanned channels configured in TVHeadend. I'm sorry I cannot help further, I have almost zero knowledge on DTV stuff.

  • Sorry, to hassle - but are you suggesting that if I had a complete scan list already I could copy it into the TVheadend config files and it would use them ?

I have a complete running TVheadend setup at the moment - but its stuck on LE 7.2 so there maybe compatibility issues.

Still it offers us hope that if anyone with the expertise applies themselves it could be a relatively simple fix.

  • I attempted to transfer across my old muxes from my current system and though it populated the channels list - none of those channels will tune.

  • You can create kernel debug for dvb driver.

    Enable debug with following commands:

    Code
    echo 15 > /sys/module/r848a/parameters/debug
    echo 15 > /sys/module/avl6862/parameters/debug_avl
    echo 15 > /sys/module/aml/parameters/debug_dvb
    echo 15 > /sys/module/aml/parameters/debug_dmx

Start logging ssh session and submit following command watch -tn 1 dmesg -c

    Start scanning in tvh.

  • Hi, afl1

From your log I see you are scanning Eutelsat 36B (36.0E)

    tuner Availink avl6862 #0 : DVB-S #0 tuning to DVB-S 36.0E freq 11785000 R sym 27500000 fec 3/4 mod PSK/8 roff 35 is_id -1 pls_mode ROOT pls_code 0 (freq 1185000)

Under kingofsat.net this transponder has QPSK modulation, but you set PSK/8. PSK/8 is used for DVB-S2. Pls fix this and send me new log.

  • os.libreelec.tv is a missing dependency with the 8.90 build, this is essential for correct functioning of TVheadend. How would I go about finding the appropriate addons and adding them to my build. If I understand correctly this is a bundle of essential base addons for a correctly functioning Libreelec build.

This is incorrect tvh and every other add-on works fine, it's a bug in the dependency system just click ok to continue.

Find attached my log. Why is it failing?
