Isn't Odroid C2 a good choice? Harware-wise it should be more that 'good enough'... Or?

I had similar issue with the build in SD reader that sometimes fails to have exclusive access to SD-card but using external (USB connected) USB reader never fails.

I might be wrong here but as far as I found out You need to copy backgrounds and thumbnails to your local storage folder on Your RPi.
I used the 'Pictures' folder for that purpose.
Maybe there is another way but this works...

I solved this "issue" with a good, multiplatform password manager.
Used to almost everything except banking/financial stuff.

I run my PI3's without the 'lid' on.

Like this:

Temp is approx 60-65°C depending of usage.

It's not pretty but it works...

If You are using external keyboard, Your issue has been discussed earlier at OE forum. Without any obvious soution though...

Most of Kodi addons are platform independant so these should work on both.
But there are RPi specific tweaks/"hacks" that cant be used on other HW platforms, and vice versa of course!

1. Does database cleanup after update do any difference?
(Built in or by using script.database.cleaner or similar)
2. Do You have any possibilities to put Your DB in MySQL/SQL server?
Just curious because I don't see any signs of slower system on any of my RPi2's or RPi3's...

Rename file to desktop.jpg
Copy to userdata foldr
Use The file in userdata folder as bg Picture.
